Initially, i thought of linking them to their respective blog entries on my LJ/blogger, but then again, maybe not. So I linked them to their respective photo albums on my multiply instead. Enjoy.
Here we go my EIGHT things in ZERO EIGHT.
ONE: NURSING.

28, 924 pass licensure exam for nurses
In december 2007, i took the NLE, it took almost 3 months of pure agony for the results to be released but it was indeed worth the wait, because not only did I pass the dreaded exam, i actually got a pretty high score. It wasn't a top ten score but, i was just a few points shy away from the 10th Place, and the fact that it was way above the 80 general average i was aiming for, I'm actually proud of myself.

I took my Oath on April 2008 and at the same time got pinned and then rededicated my life (yeah right! haha) to nursing profession, that did not actually exist until december 2008 after finally getting my license in cebu in november.

other nursing related stuffs: first part of the year i assisted in brain and spine surgeries, successfully inserted IVs after undergoing the IVT training, APCAS 2008, thought about volunteering but screw the idea because of delayed release of our prc license.
TWO: TRAVEL.
For the past 3 years, I've been deprived of leisure travel mainly because I still had school. With school out of the way in the first half of the year, and even with school for the first semester, i did manage to go to different places.. It was the type that I could just get up and go without worrying too much about missing something while I was away.

It started with the Ilocos trip I had with DJ in Febraury, It was a week long invasion of the metro and the north. In a span of 7 days we were in Manila , Ilocos, Baguio and Pangasinan.

In March, i joined my high school friends/ new RNs for a day trip to Baguio to supposedly get our board ratings but unfortunately for me, PRC only had records for the Baguio takers. They said that I should get my records to where i took my exam, Cebu! - not entirely a bad idea.

So just a few weeks after, I was in Cebu to process my PRC papers with my mom who refused to let me travel alone because of my unpredictable asthmatic attacks that almost killed me a few days prior.

The first week of april was spent in dumaguete for our oath taking/ pinning. It was my first comebacksince i left in december 2007. I was pretty Nostalgic the whole time, i wished i was staying for good, but then again maybe not! It was nice bonding with everybody again.

Just a week after coming home from dumaguete, i flew to dipolog with my parents for my cousin' wedding in dapitan. We missed to join the rest of the relatives for the scheduled island hopping the following day but we did manage to explore the city of dapitan and rizal's 'estate' that morning before we left for cebu to get my prc papers and at the same time meet up with thalia, joel and his underaged friend.

Just as i thought that that would be my last getaway for the summer, here comes dj txting me one summer day, telling me about a boracay getaway. So dj,jc,jia and i were off to bora for a few days and then dropping by iloilo to meet some brods and sis. i figured that I was in that part of the country any way, i decided to take a side trip to dumaguete instead of going home via Caticlan or Iloilo.

In september, i ditched 2 weeks of school to go to the US with my family. This was my first out of the country trip in three/four years, so I didn't let this one pass. Especially that the trip's itinerary included a trip to NEW YORK CITY. No way, no how! We were there for five days with a side trip to New Jersey to visit some distant relatives. It wasn't the best New York trip due to super avoidable circumstances, but then again, being in the city I always wanted to go to is enough. Now I have more reasons to come back - I have unfinished business in New York!!

Orlando, Florida was the 2nd stop for the two week US trip. While my dad was attending his conference, my mother, brother and I spent most of our time shopping/visiting the outlets on the either side of International Drive and some nearby malls. The only frustrating thing about the trip to Orlando is that DisneyWorld, Universal Studios and Seaworld were 10-30 minutes away from our Hotel but we didn't get to visit any of these theme parks. We did get to visit Disney Epcot, only because it was part of the conference and we were there for just a few hours and the venue was situated at the least visited part of the park.

THREE: REUNIONS
2008 was about reunions too.

Weddings on both sides of the family (Perez and Florendo) served as a time for the family to get together. Although we didn't really get to catch up and mingle with one another it was nice to see everybody again.

After officially leaving Dumaguete in December of 2007, I came back for the very first time in April, and then again on May and then most recently on November 2008. Of course that meant being reunited with my brods and sis as well as friends from college. I failed to attend the org's 44th which was a drag because while everybody was having fun, i was stuck in my room studying about plants. But then again I did get to hang out with them everytime i was there, so it's okay.

6 years since high school graduation.

Georgia was the 3rd and final destination for last year's US trip. On the first day, we spent the whole day in Atlanta, going to different spots like the CNN Headquarters, the Olympic Park, the World of Coca Cola (where my brother and I tasted all coca cola products in the world), and The Georgia Aquarium. The Second day we spent the whole time shopping, going from one store to another. it was Crazy shopping, i tell you! the third day, was spent apple picking and visiting a pumpkin farm.

The year wouldn't be complete without the high school get together we do every December. This year was one of the best get together we ever had. One because a lot of people actually came and it was more organized. We really didn't expect a formal dinner! I guess everybody is growing up. LoL
FOUR: MEET UPS
FOUR: MEET UPS

There are people you've met and became friends in the most unconventional ways, right? This year, i got to meet three of them personally. Of course everybody knows about the Meet up with Marcus in New York. Who wouldn't forget about that, it was definitely one of the high lights of my New York Trip. Then there's Apple, who i first met in the blogosphere that eventually became my schoolmate for one semester and then King, a close friend's friend from college, textmates since 2007, who i met when i came back to Dumaguete in April. He let me practice my driving with his car - no accidents, just a close call.
FIVE: DYING, ALMOST.

Try turning blue for the third time in your whole life. This one was particularly scary because I almost almost had a respiratory arrest. It started with a simple case of cough and colds, then became complicated due to exposure to Manila's Polluted Air. I really though I would die, for real! Thank God I'm still alive!
SIX: WEIGHT LOSS

SIX: WEIGHT LOSS

before and after pic pa tlga, eh noh?
Unexplained weight loss. Believe me, I only attempted to lose weight one time, for a month.. in August.. It wasn't even a full whole month in the gym, more like 3 weeks of 2 hour 4 days session a week in the gym. I stopped and thought that I might just gain it all back after wards, and then I also thought that the US trip will make me gain more weight too, but it didn't.. apparently. Whatever I'm doing might actually be working, i hope i can maintain this even with my bum state and the lack of physical exercise. Hehehe
SEVEN: HIGH SCHOOL

My social circle in dagupan is limited to friends from high school. So now that I am back, i had the chance to hang with them- a lot this year. Birthdays, movies, coffee, dinners and occasional night outs. December, particularly became "high school month" if there's a such.

EIGHT: LONG HAIR MOMENTS.
Yes, yes, "long hair moments" equals to boys.
I'm not a player, mind you. it's not my fault they come in and out of my life. LoL

Just $19.99 for a year. Don't worry, just one year subscription, i'd pay for the succeeding years. I love my multiply, and I'll do anything to keep my stuffs. I just need a safe (additional) back up for my pictures until i've had them all printed out.
